About Gravity Guess
The daily physics prediction game
Gravity Guess is a daily puzzle game that tests your physics intuition. Each day, everyone around the world plays the same puzzle -- predict where the ball will land after bouncing through a unique arrangement of obstacles. No sign-ups, no downloads, and no complicated rules. Just open the game in your browser, make your prediction, and see how well you understand physics.
How It Works
Every day at midnight, a new physics puzzle is generated. The ball starts at the top of the screen and falls through platforms, ramps, bumpers, and pegs. Your job is to tap where you think the ball will come to rest on the ground.
The closer your prediction to the actual landing spot, the higher your score. Scores range from 0% to a perfect 100%, with tiers like INCREDIBLE, EXCELLENT, GREAT, and more. Can you achieve the perfect score?

The Science Behind the Game
Gravity Guess is built on real physics principles. The ball is affected by gravity, momentum, friction, and elastic collisions -- the same forces that govern the real world. When the ball strikes a ramp, it deflects based on the angle of impact and the surface's bounciness. When it hits a bumper, it rebounds with extra energy, sending it in an unpredictable direction.
What makes predictions so challenging is that physics is chaotic in the mathematical sense. Even a tiny difference in where the ball first makes contact can lead to a completely different outcome. A ball that clips the edge of a platform will land in a very different spot than one that hits dead centre. This sensitivity to initial conditions is what makes each puzzle a genuine brain teaser rather than a simple guessing game.
Daily Puzzle Generation
Every puzzle in Gravity Guess is generated using a seeded random number generator tied to the current date. This means that no matter where you are in the world, you get the exact same puzzle on the same day. The scenes are made up of a variety of obstacles -- horizontal platforms, angled ramps, bouncy bumpers, peg arrays, funnel guides, and triangular deflectors -- each arranged differently to create a unique challenge.
Some days the puzzle might be straightforward with a clear path, while other days the ball bounces through a maze of bumpers and pegs that make the outcome genuinely difficult to predict. This variety keeps the game fresh and ensures no two days feel the same.
Why Gravity Guess?
Gravity Guess was inspired by the daily puzzle genre popularised by games like Wordle, but with a twist: instead of words or numbers, you are predicting physics. It appeals to that part of your brain that instinctively understands how objects move and collide, and it challenges you to turn that intuition into a precise prediction.
The game is designed to be a quick daily ritual -- most rounds take under two minutes. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no paywall. Just visit the site, play, and share your score with friends.
Made in South Africa
Gravity Guess was created with love in South Africa. We built it as a fun, quick daily challenge that anyone can enjoy -- no accounts required, no complex rules, just pure physics fun.
The Technology
Gravity Guess uses Matter.js for realistic 2D physics simulation. Matter.js is an open-source rigid body physics engine that handles gravity, collisions, friction, and restitution with high accuracy. The daily puzzle is generated using a seeded random number generator (mulberry32 algorithm), ensuring everyone gets the exact same challenge each day regardless of their device or browser.
